Press Release – Experza Cyclocross Team

We are proud to tell you that the British rider Helen Wyman will join our team from Monday the 14th January. Helen agreed to join the team in December and pulls on the jersey for the first time today after reaching agreement with her private sponsors, several of which will start to work with the Experza team.

Helen will not only fulfill the role of rider, but equally importantly we will start a collaboration with Helen off the bike in coaching, mentoring and all technical areas.

The team and Helen want to help young riders by giving them the best advice and technique training from a rider who has knowledge from so many years at the very top of the sport. It’s our wish for our riders to grow together within the team to be able to reach their full potential. We know a rider like Helen can help that happen both on and off the bike.

We will organize training camps for all of the riders in Helens adopted hometown in South West France. The team can train with Helen and have open access to the experts that have help her reach the top of the sport and stay there for such a long time.

It is our desire to have a structure within the team that includes Junior, U23 and Elite women. We will be running training days in Belgium for young riders who could form part of our Junior program. These riders will ride alongside Helen and the best riders in terms of skills, mentality and performance will be offered a place on the team for the next season.

“With Helen we have signed more than just a rider; we have signed a vital cog in the development our team. Our transition from professional road team to UCI cyclocross team is such an exciting time for the team, and with Helen we think we can accelerate our transition in the sport.”

Christel Herremans from Experza Cyclocross Team.

“Joining Experza is a natural step for me, and finally I will ride for the team owner Christel Herremans who I have know in the sport for such a long time. They are so motivated to give long term opportunities to ‘cross riders. Their plan is to help riders right through the categories is exciting and something I haven’t seen yet. It’s needed in the sport and to be a part of shaping that plan has been really good. Their plans link perfectly with mine and I can’t wait to get started.” Helen Wyman
